FAQ
What is the IRIS boundary source?
IRIS boundaries come from the official INSEE division (metropolitan France and overseas). Point-in-polygon lookup runs on Flownect servers.
How are results exported?
Export keeps all columns from your file. The IRIS code fills an existing CODE_IRIS column, or one CODE_IRIS column is appended if missing. Municipality, IRIS name and errors are filled only when matching columns already exist.
Why “no IRIS found”?
The point may be at sea, outside covered territory, or lat/lon may be swapped. Latitude must be between -90 and 90, longitude between -180 and 180.
